  • One more shot from down in the Alaskan Mine training Shotcrete nozzlemen: http://twitpic.com/4d6y0h #
  • Got back from Alaska last night. Training the nozzlemen and crew for shooting shotcrete/gunite dry mix in the mine overhead went well. #
  • Note from Ben today says that the predampner isn't keeping up with the gunite machine. Working the issue today. #
  • Part of the problem is the inexperienced crew keeps stoping the gunite machine when it's still full of predamp material. Hard to start up. #
  • Never stop a dry mix shotcrete machine while it's still full of material unless it's an emergency. Time loss to clean it out and restart! #
  • My shotcrete nozzleman class that was supposed to happen this week got cancelled. Now looking at May for another one! #
  • Last year this time I had already done 2 classes, this year looking like 2 or 3 max for the whole year. Not liking the new system at all. #
  • On an upbeat note, getting a lot more private shotcrete consulting and training from my website and blog my son set me up with. #

The idea of placing concrete pavement in two lifts is not new.
