CleanEdison Now Offering Geothermal Training Courses!

CleanEdison Now Offering Geothermal Training Courses!

Our new geothermal courses will enable you to enter this quickly growing clean energy market by teaching you both the fundamental theory and the practice of designing and installing ground source heat pump systems.

Ground source heat pump systems consist of pipes installed in the ground, with water or another liquid circulating through the pipes. The liquid utilizes the steady-state temperature of the ground to condition the air of the house. The systems provide consistent energy output over seasons, are extremely efficient, and have a 50 year life expectancy with extremely low maintenance requirements.

With their increasingly affordable upfront costs due to multiple incentives from federal and local programs, these low-key systems (both hidden and silent) are the sort of renewable energy source that most people would like in their backyard.  Become the local expert in this expanding field.

All our trainers have a minimum of 5 years experience in the field and are fully certified by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA).

    Accredited Geothermal Driller Workshop

The Accredited Driller workshop will train individuals on proper construction and completion methods for vertical GeoExchange boreholes. Currently, drilling contractors searching for industry training on GeoExchange heat pumps must attend a full Accredited Installer workshop. Because certain topics covered within the Accredited Installer course do not pertain to drilling contractors, IGSHPA has formed this training course to provide drilling contractors with information that’s unique to them on a GeoExchange job site.

    Course Includes

    • GSHP System Design and Layout Basics
    • System Materials
    • Pressure Drop Calculations
    • Thermal Conductivity
    • Drilling Processes
