New ASA Directors and Officers

With terms beginning February 2, 2010, the ASA membership has elected the following individuals to leadership roles in the association. Patrick Bridger, Allentown Shotcrete Technology, Inc. was elected to a 2-year term as President. Joe Hutter, King Packaged Materials Company, was elected to a 2-year term as Vice President. Elected to 1-year terms were Secretary Michael Cotter, Consultant, and Treasurer Ted Sofis, Sofis Company, Inc.

Four new ASA Directors were elected to terms beginning February 2, 2010. The new Directors are William T Drakeley Jr., Drakeley Industries, LLC , Charles Hanskat, Concrete Engineering Group, LLC, Tom Norman, Airplaco Equipment Company, and Ray Schallom III, Allentown Shotcrete Technology, Inc.

The 2010 International Bridge Conference

ASA will for the second year in a row participate as an exhibitor at the 2010 International Bridge Conference (IBC) in Pittsburgh, PA June 6-9, 2010. ASA will be in booth #607 on the main show isle.

ASA is also pleased to announce that it will be conducting a 90 minute workshop (an overview of the shotcrete process and how it’s versatility has lead to its growing use for the rehabilitation of bridges and other concrete structures) lead by ASA Officers Ted Sofis, Sofis Company Inc. and Joe Hutter, King Packaged Materials Company. The presentation is scheduled for Monday, June 7, 2010 at 1:30pm.

The ASA Spring Committee Meeting Schedule

The ASA 2010 Spring Committee Meetings in Chicago, IL are open to all individuals (ASA members & non-members) and there is no registration fee. The ASA Spring Committee Meetings will be held at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel (SUPERIOR B and Suite 936) March 20-22, 2010. Check the ASA Shotcrete Calendar for specific meeting times and listings. The ASA committee meetings are held in conjunction with the ACI Spring Convention.
