Changes to the ACI Certified Personnel Directory

ACI recently implemented changes to its Certified Personnel Directory in an attempt to limit the use of the tool by “head-hunter” type organizations. The directory still has full functionality for first pass verification of certified shotcrete nozzlemen using an individual’s ACI Certification ID number and\or last name. General searches without specific individual nozzleman criteria now return a list with no individual names. This change allows specifiers to confirm a pool of certified individuals before requiring certification, but prevents “head-hunters” from identifying and pursuing the certified individuals.

This change removes a major concern of shotcrete contractors and opens the door for the certification of all nozzlemen.
